We encourage safe adventurous motorcycle riding through group unity with respect for each other.
Things to Consider
1. No joining fee
2. No monthly dues
3. Flower Fund - $20.00 annually
IBNC Reunion - specified annually
4. No excessive rules and regulations (Safety is the exception)
5. No hidden club-type expenses or operating costs (use your money to ride more)
Who are The Independent Bikers of NC?
In January 2005 several bikers got together to form a multi-cultural group called Independent Bikers, Charles Hobbs, Dexter Fort, James Kenan, Joe Fennell, Moses McIver and Virgil Servance with more emphasis on riding than the club atmosphere. We are not a club. Most importantly, Independent Bikers really cherish the joy of riding their bikes and have grown to more than 165 bikers. Persons desiring safe adventurous motorcycle riding through group unity with respect for each other are encouraged to ride with us.
While we do operate as a group no officers are elected, no dues or membership fees are imposed.
We recognize death in each Independent Bikers immediate family (Father, Mother, Sister, Brother, Children and Grandparents) by sending a flower or giving a donation and we, also, sponsor an annual Independent Bikers Reunion for Family and Friends. To support these two (2) functions, each IBNC Biker is afforded the opportunity to annually donate $20.00 to the 'Flower Fund' and an annually specified amount to the 'Reunion'. Members meeting either of these requirements are considered active members; any other members are flagged inactive.
We support charitable fund raising events in our local communities. An Independent Biker Contact List and an Annual Motorcycle Events List is updated after each meeting and emailed periodically. Our “Get-together Eat and Meet” is on the 2ND Sunday of each month at 3PM and is held at a restaurants in different areas sponsored by various Independent Bikers. All scheduled rides require a sponsor to handle the logistics involving the ride.
While we prefer cruiser style bikes other styles are acceptable. Staggered style riding is preferred and safety is always our first and main concern.
Do you want to sit around a clubhouse or enjoy riding your motorcycle?
